If the Scottish referendum results in a vote for independance and, for whatever reason, neither the pound sterling nor the euro can be used, what would be your suggestions for a name for the new currency?

The Whisky Token
Harking back to my time in HM Forces there was often banter among the 4 nationalities of the UK. I was often known as Druid, Taff or Sheep Shagger.
My Scottish colleagues were referred to as Oatmeal Savages (and far worse), so I'll go with 'the Oaty'.

maybe best to leave the English to decide the currency :)
Before the Union of the Crowns, Scotland had its own pound. It was called the Scots, or Scottish, Pund. (Many Scots still use that pronunciation today!). Perhaps it could be re-instated.

By the way, Eire continued to use Pounds Sterling for a couple of years after gaining full independence. It didn't seem to be much of a problem then, so why should it be now?
How about a Bannock or if they prefer Bhonnaich
