I was at preschool (or playschool as it was then). I function on and off.

I'd been married for 8 years and started working for BT 3 years earlier. the daughter was 7.
Different parts of me function on different days now, nothing seems to work all at once.

In 1977, i was a mere five. but constructing things with lego and enjoying oneself. I haven't grown up yet. I'll leave that for the adults.

I was working and living in Zambia , did not enter the UK at all in 1976/77.

1977 was the year the British paratroop regiment, on high alert on account of the imminent jubilee visit of HM Queen to our town in NI, descended on our back garden when our mum's chip pan caught fire. And I missed the fun as I was on a state visit to England at the time.

I was in Cambridge at a pub called 'The Mill' by the river Cam and drinking a pint of Tolly Cobbold bitter from a pint jug. I can remember it as though it was yesterday, the entire pub stopped and cheered as the announcement came ''Tranquillity base Here, The Eagle has landed'' Even the traffic stopped to hear the news.
