Well, a lovely day but we only got as far as Gelerts grave. We were a little dissappointed though with the way the grave was neglected, bearing in mind that the village is even named after this hounds grave (bedd is Welsh for grave) and then we went into a very large gift shop where they sold some lovely tasteful gifts of just about every animal sculpture you could think of, but the shop assistant looked rather surprised when I asked if they have a Irish Wolfhound sculpture to represent Gelert, I don't think it had ever even occurred to them. The drive up to Beddgelert was amazing, so mountainous and rugged, a lovely day out.
Oh yes, I remember the tale of Gellert.

I didn't realise there was an actual grave.

Did you have to stop and ask for directions?

Did you take the little hounds out for the day too? Pictures of all hounds and of your farm moggies.
