Can anyone please help me? I have been emailed an A4 poster in pdf format and need to print them off 4 to a page to use as handouts. I know how to do it from a Word document but can't seem to do it from this pdf document. Can anyone instruct me please - I would be most grateful. Thanks.

Is there only 1 copy of it in the pdf?

Have you got photoshop or another programme that can conver the pdf to a graphic?

If not, there are websites that will convert the pdf for you. Try www.zamzar.com

Once you have it as a graphic file, setup your Word document with equal margins eg. 5mm and then split the page into 4 - double the size of the margins to make the column and row gap eg. 5mm margins = 10mm column gap

Insert your image, scale it in proportion to fit one of your quarter pages, then paste into the other. quarters.
Goto File-->Print Setup-->and select your paper size under "Size". (Custom for A sizes). Click OK.
Then go File-->Print, and set Page scaling-->Multiple Pages per Sheet and enter the number.
My Print option in Adobe Acrobat (which opens my .pdfs) gives me a menu to say how many copies I want on an A4 page.
Definitely best to use the print set up, no need to manipulate the document.
File > Print, select 4 Pages Per Sheet.
use microsoft publisher its so easy to do what you are wanting
^^^^^^ not if the original is a PDF cleggie. Easier to use print set up.
