Should be here sky has been clear all day. Look out tomorrow for the double fly by at 9 27 with the ISS 2 minutes in front
Superb view tonight, Wendi...thanks....x
Had a lovely sighting again. This may make me sound stupid but why is it so bright when all you can see of a plane that flies over are the flashing lights.
Question Author
It is the reflection of the sun on the solar panels. I missed it and it would have been a good sighting as sky was clear when I looked out then I dozed off duh.
What a shame you dozed off, wendi. It was a fantastic site last night. The sky was so clear and the ISS so bright.
Question Author
Hope it is dark enough to see the double flyby tonight. Depending on the brightness the sky I have seen it when not quite dark.
Thanks Wendilla - now I know. Saw both Spacestations last night but missed the supply ship. Looking forward to double tonight.
I have an app on my iphone that shows it tracking round the globe. I was sitting in my garden watching it the other night at 11pm (Tues) and it was travelling up from Barzil towards the Uk and I could see it getting closer and closer to the UK, and I was getting all excited and then it seemed to veer off and go over France :(

Is it low on the horizon and more southerly viewing? I'm in the midlands.
Question Author
I am in Leicestershire but away from any town or city lights so always been lucky with the views. I know a lot of people southwards see it well but not had any replies from North of England.
I'm non the Notts/Leics/Lincs borders, so probably northerly of you. Maybe thats why I haven't seen it yet.
Incidentally wendilla, are you an astronomer with a club observatory? Or just a casual observer?
Question Author
Ocatavius I started about 7 years ago after reading a post about it on here then started to read all about it then I wondered if people here new they could see it so I started posting the times and was amazed at how many people did not know they could see it.I no nothing much about the stars just a few only. I do study the planets and the odd things that I read about .I do have a very good set of binoculars but you don't need them for the station.
Ah ok thanks wendilla, I use my iphone app to spot stars, constellations and planets, its very fascinating and my eldest daughter is becoming more and more interested. I am able to point things out and it leads to some wonderful discussions.

good afternoon (from you-know-where) wendilla

any possibilities for me tonight, please? (two hours ahead of you)

had a superb sighting tuesday night
many thanks wendilla. Wouldnt be able to follow all this space station stuff if it wasnt for you. Your really kind letting us all know. really appreciated.
I'm always looking for your posts. It's so easy for me to see too as all I have to do is stand at the patio door, don't have to go into the garden.
Love it when we see it twice in one night . Roll on tonight.
Double treat tonight.
