Surely they are "aliens from another country" and as such, we don't want the likes of them in Britain.

AOG, has anyone on here not condemned the attack ? If not, why are you now complaining that no sympathy is felt for the victim or their family? Even non-racists are capable of natural human feelings you know.

Just because I have posted a news report on a savage acid attack upon a defenceless woman, it does not mean that I class all non-whites/foreigners etc the same, or are we suppose to forgive such vile scum, because of all those who have chosen not to go down the same road of lawlessness?

Obviously all that goes without saying, but what I am not preprepared to do is to cease highlighting those who commit such horrific crimes just because they happen to be non-white or foreign, even though it may not be PC to do so, and that it might upset the more sensitive ones amongst us.

No-one would suggest that you stop highlighting dreadful crimes - but maybe if you did not always find an ethnic or religious hook on which to hang your posts, you would find more positive reactions.

It tends to infer that you link ethnicity and religion directly with criminal tendencies - although I could not possibly comment.

My criticisms were not aimed at those who have quite rightly condemned the attack, only those other ABers who chose to criticise me rather than the perpetrators of this crime.

That statement in itself so completely plays into the notion you are a racist it's almost laughable. Perhaps if you wanted to give the impression of loving all races equally you might have phrased it thus- 'Is one a racist because one dares to condemn criminals?'

Is it? Newspaper reports aren't really the sources you should be using to make a judgment along those lines. And even if there was an increase in criminal acts among black people, I doubt it's anything to do with their skin colour directly.

Only because right-wing papers make a deal of highlighting them, and because some readers of said papers make a point of highlighting them on here.

I recall the days of Mary Whitehouse, spending her days searching feverishly for tv programmes to be offended by, and then moaning when she found it.

The rest of us would have settled for a list of here viewing days and times!

A large part of the problem is that you always have to underline the
Race/Colour of those involved, and to be fair they are rarely light-skinned!

It does nothing of the kind. However, your response may suggest that you fear that you may be one, or so regarded. Are we to await your saying "And some of my best friends are Jewish" ? I don't think you live in area with a high "ethnic" population. Do you?
