PO direct quoted from £22.50 to £25.27 and via moneysupermarket.com PO was £44 twice as much as going to them directly !!!

What a swizz.

are you sure that the cover is the same? Strange that the same company has such different prices on different sites!
I've seen "recommended" insurance companies on the moneysupermarket.com website that want over £1000 in premium for a two-week holiday in the Far East! It's not always the money-saving website it makes itself out to be.
More of a shop front then.... we always go direct to the companies for car and house insurance, they don't all subscribe to the websites.
Do watch what you are buying as the Post Office does different levels of cover. The classic one is the one that you would buy in an actual Post Office. The basic one, which is cheaper doesn't have the same level of cover

I know they have tiers of cover but if you just went on the face of it you could be paying a huge amount that you might not have needed to.

And some of the results on the compare web sites were very high!!
