I was wondering if anyone knew whether there is a processes for putting your mail on hold with Royal Mail, but still being able to access it?

I have looked on the Royal Mail website and their Keepsafe product is ok if you want it to be redelivered at a later date however we wont be moving back to the address for which we need the mail holding (we are temporarily moving in with my parents and dont want to set up a redelivery until we are in our new home (approx 3 months)) - any suggestions would be helpful!

You could get a PO Box, or why not have your mail redelivered to your parents?

Why on earth would anyone not want their mail for 3 months?

We do still want our mail but we dont know how long we will need the redirection for as we are not sure how long would be staying there (could turn out to be expensive if we are doing it on a month by month basis)!
But surely half your mail will be useless after 3 months, e.g. bank/credit card statements, cards, wedding invites, personal letters...............

I think you are confused WE STILL WANT OUR MAIL - we just wanted to know what other options to redirection e.g holding mail at local delivery office for us to collect!!!! SO USEFUL ANSWERS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!
Oh I see I do apologise for misunderstanding you.................good shouting!
Go down to the local delivery office and ask them what you can do.
two options....set up a po box or do the longest cheapest redirect and cancel it and set up another one once you are moved.
I had my mail redirected to a PO box for a few months (I had to pay for the PO Box, and for the redirection, but it worked)
Why don't you just set up a 3-month redelivery to your parents' address? It would be a lot cheaper and a lot less hassle.
