Are those people who deliver the post actually able to read or are they too lazy to bother?
Letter delivered today. Not my name. Number correct, addressed to Road, not Close. Area name incorrect, town name incorrect. Post Code, no correlation.
Did walk to the nearest post box in freezing conditions to repost it.

I get my horrible neighbours post quite often. Pees my off but I just go and post it through her letterbox.
I give my misdirected letters to the postman, let him do the legwork.

Good for you. Have no intention of taking a 10 mile bus ride to deliver a letter.
Our postie is dyslexic. No one gets their own mail.

Crikey ask, how do you manage to see your postman? Here the post comes anytime between 11 and 3. Apart from Saturdays when it is earlier as they can go home after completing deliveries.
I had a letter posted in my hedge!! I kid you not!
Lol Jeza, im not sure how being dyslexic will hinder your postman, all the letters will be pre sorted and even a dyslexic can compare numbers.

I may be wrong though, my own dyslexia has some very strange symptoms and traits.
My postie comes around 1pm he starts at our side of the street so I can cop him when he goes round the other side. If I'm not in I save it for him. And I get all his rubber bands, next he'll be doing practice shots from the gate to our letterbox.
No offence intended ratter.
Our office post came at 4pm today. Privatise the PO!
I post between thirty and fourty competitions every week, many times they come back to me.
Our postmen sort their own route and put the letters in order for their route. I challenged the postman the other day and showed him the mail (addressed to somewhere down south) he said " oh i noticed that when I sorted it, and when I put it through your door"
I asked him why he didn't just put it back through the system, so that it went to the correct address because it just made him look stupid by putting it through my door, he just shrugged and looked at me blank
Idiot!!!!!
lol Jeza, I wasnt offended in the least, I just find dyslexia a fascinating subject, also dyslexia is very misunderstood. :)
Report him Sparkles, he has a job to do and he is being paid for it, someone else could be doing that job.
mine are brilliant....although i have to wait until 2pm to actually get it. i wistfully remember a time when it came through the door during breakfast......x
I don't understand why he put it through your door, sparkles, did you put your return address on the back?
Did report him, and spoke to the boss in the sorting office.
He said he will look into it.....rang me back to say that a note had been put on my round to double check all my mail.
We will just have to wait and see. X
For years when I lived in Pimlico SW1V , I got mail addressed SW!V but arrriving redirected via Clapham SW4'

At least that shows some ingenuity, if redundant classicism, in misdirecting the mail !
boxtops, they are all postcards that come back, even though they say TO and FROM by the appropriate addresses, they still come back to me quite often.
My postlady is still wearing her shorts, despite the deep snow!
