As far as i know, and i may be wrong, the only non slr digital cameras that have manual shutter control will be rangefinder cameras and they tend to cost as much as slr cameras.
If i find one that does i will answer.
I was wrong!
It seems that Sony Cybershot have manual exposure - across the range aswell it seems.
They also have Carl Zeiss lens aswell -which is nice.

beeen loking at the rangefinders, they are much smaller and lighter than slr cameras. hard to find a digital model though. its nice to see the look of a slr camera still in the digital version. will keep looking, thank you for your help gary
All the makers of rangefinders now do digital versions (Leica, Voigtlander etc) but they are very very expensive (dont know how much you have to spend) - nothing less than 1000.
Hi lttle bum, even my humble Canon S50 has the facility for timed exposures.

and check the specifications. Very good site for 3D views, sample pictures and full specifications/reviews but a bit biased to models released in the US.
