Just Asking For Opinions!!

I've been invited to two weddings at the end of May (not the same day!).

One couple are meat eaters who have provided the option of asking for a vegetarian meal if required. The other couple are vegetarians who insist that all guests eat vegetarian.

I won't say what my opinion is (although you've probably guessed), but I'm getting stick from my wife for stating my thoughts.

What do you think?

Tell them that , since of course they acknowledge that your presence at the wedding is obviously to be desired - it is outrageous that you should have to eat veggy food and that you think that they are being extremely selfesh - and if they insist on this veggy nonsense , you will have to seriously consider as to whether or not you wish to grace the occasion with your presence

I wasn't really including you as one of the weird people who get all stroppy swinman, because that wasn't the tone of your question. I thought the question was perfectly reasonable.
However, I was just giving my opinion, the same as you gave yours.

All vegetarians are hypocrits . If it were not for man using animals for food and clothes ,civilization would have died out in Northern Europe and none of us would be here today.
If we were mant to be veggies we would all have beaks and not teeth.
PS Do veretarians feed their pets just vegetables as well.

how are vegetarians hypocrites? that is an amazingly stupid statement

i know some vegetarians who feed their animals on a veggie diet which personally i think is wrong for cats.

OK folks - all calm down! I really didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition!!

I'm pleased that everyone has found the time to contribute. Thank you.

Both weddings are relatives, so we will obviously be attending. Unfortunately the Veggie wedding is on our 29th wedding anniversary and I quite fancied a nice, thick, juicy, steak to celebrate!!
