Seasons greetings and all that...posting here for urgency...

Does anyone know if it would be possible to replace a lost passport before Friday?
A mate has lost his and has been told that he won't be able to get a replacement as it is 'lost' and will need to be investigated add to that it being the Christmas period.... not even sure they'll be open.... I'm posting this from my phone and have had no luck finding info on opening hours etc [London area]

I lost mine last year dive, reported it, made an application as though for first time issue with the necessary supporting id, visited our local office and had it replaced on the day.

that's what the over 18 id cards are for!!! never carry a passport for id....a birth certificate copy maybe and the age id card....but never a passport. in those circumstances, he should report cards and passport as stolen immediately x
hi lisa! i've also found that riding a bike is less painful than walking as it does take a lot of pressure off your muscles (except for the bumpy bits on the road - of which there are plenty!). i was off work initially for 3 weeks and then went back to work for 10 days before ending up off work again. i'm not sure if i went back too early or did something else to damage my back, but it is more painful than before (no scans or anything else yet to look at) but i go back to the docs on friday. i am now using two stylish black walking sticks to get about and it takes ages to get anywhere. i was up all last night in pain and am getting pretty fed up, tbh. i do hope the gp does something on friday. i rand work's occ health on the 17th december for help, but as they are changing to a private company on the 2nd january (atos - oh dear!) i was told basically to get stuffed as they couldn't be bothered! not impressed so far.... x
icg, just ((hugs)) xxx
thanks, alba. chilling out and watching films today....which is nice (lol)! x

Thats encouraging news about the bike! I was seeing an Alexander Technique teacher at the beginning of the year but unfortunately can't afford her any more. I'm just glad that she taught me how to sit properly as I think it really did help.... shame we didn't get to the lesson on walking lol.
I do need to lose weight and am really hoping this will help with the pain, I've set myself a 6 month target...lose weight, see the physio and if its no better....demand surgery! I've had this pain for years and it's taken this long to get my GP to send me for a scan even though I've already had surgery once. Really hope you get yours sorted.
