Hi there I was due to have a colonoscopy on friday my doctor gave me 10mg lorezapam to be taken over 12 hours and I was all set. I started the klean prep sachets on thursday at 2pm and finished at 6pm I waited and waited and waited. Nothing happened everyone had promised me dynamite. Went to bed at 10 and slept for 8 hours still nothing so I phoned the ward and they told me not to bother coming in as they would not get a view. Ever since then Ive been getting really bad back pain and feeling shivery. Had one movement yesterday but then I stupidly went out for sausage beans and chips and had upper back pain and chest pain most of the night likely to be gallbladder related. Walked to church 1.5 miles there and back and I was ok so doubt it was my heart. Now feeling really spaced out GP said to take 8 sachets of movicol over 6 hours but I feel really tired with lower back pain and shivery I had not moved for 8 days before I took the prep that didnt work. I have also been feeling dizzy. I read that these things can affect your electrolyte levels

Have you tried Lactulose? It tends to speed things up ...
Nettle tea and beetroot can get things moving.
For me, things like pears make me go.... but seriously, gordie, I would ring your doctor in the morning. Surely you can't take full doses of Movicol only a few days apart?
As can strong black coffee...
