Did no one watch this last night? No mention of it on AB. Thoroughly enjoyed it, lovely lighthearted program with no sex or violence. Plots are unravelling nicely.

I watched it. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Found it a refreshing change from the mostly American stuff I watch - just a nice progra. Hope you ate keeping well, x
I think there was a post about it somewhere carandog 'cos I posted on it :)
It's great .Brilliant cast .I loved the bit where the daughter told her colleague where to get off and when Anne Reid slapped the errant husband round the chops, I rolled up .She's such a good actress .

Hi Sher, yes I'm fine. Did you see my response about Superdry discount centre?
Question Author
Oh yes, when she slapped him was brilliant, he is such a loser and a leach.
Love it...one of the few things I watch now.
really enjoyed it and when anne reid said "i've been wanting to do that for year". wonderful.

she is such a good actress - remember her with maureen lipman. such a funny programme. oh didn't think so but i rolled around with laughter. does anyone else remember it. can't remember title but they played vera and irene.
LJ, from Wiki :
In 2009, Reid appeared in the television series Marple in the episode "Nemesis".[8] She also starred as Vera alongside Maureen Lipman as Irene in an ITV3 adaptation of the BBC Radio 4 series Ladies of Letters, a series which charts the correspondence of two ladies via a series of letters.[9]
thanks alba i guessed someone would be better informed or remember better than me.

mail.
I think Ann Reid is married to a tv producer ? her finest hour was her portrayal of Barbara Cartland she was magnificent, must have studied the "real thing"for along time to get the part so lifelike.
it's a very well written, acted drama, will watch the rest i think..
Loving it, it's always on a night I'm working, have been catching up with it - brilliant acting from all.
I am just enjoying the scenery and cannot believe someone actually mentioned Ripponden on TV! When ever I say that name people say, 'where?' lol never know next week they may mention Barkisland or, you never know, Mytholmroyd may get a look in !
Just watched both episodes on the iPlayer. Wonderful stuff! I've always liked Ann Reid, I thought she was a riot playing an alien shape shifting bloodsucker in Doctor Who
I also love it, great acting and story lines, can't wait till next week to catch up, hope they make it into a long term soap.
Love it - great casting. Sarah Lancashire is good.
