Does anyone remember school dinner cheese pie? It was baked in large pastry lined tins. The result was not smooth and moist as it would be in a quiche. It was granular with a very cheesy taste, rather like Welsh Rarebit but more solid, and really satisfying. I cannot find any recipe that vaguely resembles it.

I have found a couple of recipes. Did it have potato in it?
Probably more like the school's old bog rolls.......

No potato - just cheese, although occasionally I wondered if there was a little onion.
