My next door neighbour just loves more and more greenery. Now she is starting to grow clinging ivy on her side of the wall at the back of the house and with this weather it is growing nearly a foot a day. We are semi-detached and I don't want the ivy on my side of the house but will be unable to trim it back if it reaches her roof and over to me. Can't say anything to her as at the moment it is on her side. We had some words about 3 years ago regarding her growing ivy so she knows how I feel. No animosity ever happened but she did cut it down.

Neighbours ivy grows over and even pokes its way through our garden fence panels

I simply remove it from my side and throw it back over the fence
not sure what you are asking here..; there is really only one option

just wait for it to start to grow over then ask her politely to keep it trimmed as you'd prefer not to have it over your side.

if you go straight in with laws and demands etc you will begin with animosity.

thanks for your answers she knew that about 2 weeks I paid for a clinging ivy to be removed from my own wall. I don't know how they are going to trim it back if it is up on the roof. They are pretty good neighbours and the last thing is animosity because you have to live beside them. But I will just to wait and see.
