this carry on is seriously getting out of order.i cant move in my local asda without being surrounded by eastern europeans.12 new houses were built very near me and the locals didn't have a look in.half were given to the poles.and i DO mean given.my wife told me yesterday that these people,if they drive, dont even pay road tax for the first year.unbelievable.i love my country but if i had the money,i'd be well away.this country has nothing to offer.it's expensive and the weather is crap.

wonder what will happen when those who have stayed for a time decide that their own countries are better off now, and push off back there, where will that leave Britain, struggling to pay it's pensions bill. if it's bad now, and those who have had enough of us go, then what.
I'm an immigrant also....shall I pack my bags?

The whole benefit system is changing over the coming year...it will sort out ALL scroungers.
Why is it when it's mentioned that we should close our borders to immigrants that people think we mean get rid of those here? Nothing has been mentioned so far to that end....so stop making claims where none are there. Just close the doors asap to any more people from anywhere living here is all I'm on about.
strictly speaking daiysa i'm an immigrant, what would you like to do with me?

It's not you, fluff, you're alright ............it's them others ;0)
MT read my post above!!
pasta, no it won't, many are not scroungers, but have put their life blood into a system, only to be told that the system is changing and we will kick you in the teeth, thank you so much. have been down this road, and i don't like being called a scrounger.
I have a few friends and neighbours who are immigrants but who seem to have settled down OK...but I realize that many aspects of this phenomenon have got well out of control and feel for those who are having a bad experience with it.

I am old enough to remember the days when you saw notices in windows like..."Room to let. NO COLOUREDS!"...my how things have changed! but surely we don't want to go there again...or maybe I am wrong and there is an element of society who would...mmm....
And there is a polish shop in my town which up until recently had a large sign in the window saying 'Polish Only' !!! Cheeky gits !
chapta - get a grip!

What do you expect a Polish shop to sell?

Varnish?
Polish as in people, as to stuff you clean the furniture with. No one can put up signs saying Polish, white, black, only, it's against the law.
commoner, no we don't want to go there again. Hence you should not discriminate against anyone...
I remember many years ago a friend's sister and her family emigrating to South Africa because "This country was finished and had nothing to offer them". Back in a year with their tails between their legs. Found out very quickly that this country does have a lot to offer them.
