I hope someone can help
My son sustained a knee injury approx last christmas - the doctor sent him for an xray which did not show anything. He then had a course of physio and all was ok.
A couple of weeks ago his knee went again and he has been sent for more physio. Now I appreciate its impossible to diagnose what is wrong I hope someone can tell me what we can expect from our doctor
I am prepared to pay for a private consultaion if that will help set the wheels in motion
Sorry if this does not make sense - I have never really needed this kind of advice before

Thanks in anticipation

More information....what sort of knee injury...?a blow to the knee ?twist of the knee.
well has he tried the physio? WHat wheels did you want set in motion exactly? If the physio worked last time, what makes you think this is the wrong course of action this time?
I think your (his) doctor has probably done the right thing. If the physio doesn#t work, then it might be time for a referral or imaging

Hes just told me the physio is going to refer him to a specialist as he feels he most probably needs an op
Can a physio do this?
Trouble is (like most men I imagine) he does not know the right questions to ask
I will keep you updated
Thank you for your help
Xrays don't show up damage to cartilage, so MRI may be needed if nothing is found otherwise.
