I am obese BMI 42 type 2 diabetic. My doctor wants me to take Orlistat. He gave me a prescription. I cant get it anywhere they say there is a supply issue and wont be available for another month. I think this is terrible that one manufacturer can hold a country to ransom. Does anybody know where I can get it I thought about buying it on line but dont want to risk it.

Isn`t Orlistat the drug that`s in Alli (by SmithKline)?
Question Author
Yes it is but made by the same company and there is a supply problem with Ali
Before you start taking a drug (which you can't find anyway) why don't you see if you can improve your diabetes by changing your diet. My sister was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes 2 years ago and her doctor advised following a low-carb/high fat diet which helped her to lose 100 lbs. She is able to control her blood sugar without medication and is much healthier all round. For info/advice on this see http://www.dietdoctor.com/lchf
Hope this helps!
