I am sick to death of irresponsible owners not picking up the fricking dogs crap! I all ways pick our dogs poop up regardless of size but its every where we go walking and dog owners are so blaze about the issue! i have a toddler who when tired or over excited tends to fall or trip as shes not looking where shes going and with these poo bombs you can imagine the inevitable has happened. just so annoyed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People who don't clean up after their dogs get us all into trouble, it's because of them that our dogs get banned from places and add fuel to the dog haters fire!! I too have seen people 'pretend' to pick it up. I confronted one such man and he just shrugged, told me to f*** off and walked on!! If I pass a pile of it with my dog and other people are coming towards me, I say to them that my dog hasn't left that big pile of poo, but why should I feel so guilty when I always clean up?
Dog nappies should be compulsory outside their home premises.
son was going to a concert last night, left the car and decided to get the busa guy got on with a dog, when he got on the bus he got a rather unpleasant smell from his shoe, yes'dog poo'he was imagining every one staring him and smelling him,but the poor guy with the dog got the funny looks cause he had a dog,not only did he have dog poo but a big dodd of chewing gum as well, its hard to wipe it of in the city centre so he had to use a pavement,
To Guy and anyone else whose dog produces poo that cannot be easily picked up please take note: the dog's diet is wrong! It should be of a firm but not hard consistancy and certainly not runny. Put the bag onto your hand, surround the turd with the bagged hand, pull the bag inside out and tie the top. Dispose of it in a suitable bin; not in the hedgerow.
If you can't manage that then perhaps you should consider whether you're a suitable person to be excercising your dog.
what i can't understand is the people who bother to pick it up then just throw the bag into the hedge.
I think its the silly tidbits of human food people give to their dogs mm.

Dog owners should have visible means of disposal with them on walks. A suitable bag can be tied to the dog collar or lead. O.K. there are the cretins who have no intention of picking up. Their dogs should be impounded till they pay a fine.
I don't agree that the dog should be impounded till they pay a fine! Why should the dog suffer because it's owner is a moron??
The hedgerows round here are littered with small black bags of doggy doos. It really is disgusting.
It really is disgusting. It was a few years ago now when I was walking through a picnic area and this couple walked through with their large Ridgeback. He crapp?d in the middle of the swing and slide park.

I offered the couple a bag, he looked at the poop, stared at me and said No in a very questioning manner.

I was livid, I got my dogs in the car, went over to the mountainous poo....picked it up...walked over to his car and smeared it over his windscreen. I dont make a habit of doing this, but he was downright rude to me AND it was in a childrens play area. I daresay it set hard by the time they finished their walk. It was a very hot day......shame.
Well done lilymoon. I like dogs but I do not like their poop. My niece uses special bags she buys which has a sort of cardboard piece which goes under the poop, then it slots itself shut and she picks it with no problem. Sorry, not a very good description. I am thinking if you cannot afford to buy these bags, you shouldn't have a dog. Her hand does not come into contact with the poop in any way.
Then what does everyone do with it? My colleague puts it in a biodegradable bag, but stuffs it under the hedge - I think that's just as bad as not picking it up at all.
I never fail to clean up after my dog, but the ones that don't bother give us all a bad name, walking up our street, which leads to the sea front, it's horrific, it's the late night dog walkers with dogs off the lead, and not a care for the mess they make, they do it every night here, it's disgusting!............
We have no option to pick up after our dogs, we are the only people in the area with such big dogs, it would be the same as each poo having the name of the dog written on it, everybody in the neighbourhood knows our dogs. We regularly see poos first thing in the mornings when people walk there dogs early and no one sees them leave it behind.

I must say we regularly run our dogs on the local beaches as do many other dog owners but we very rarely find poo on the beach.

If we didnt pick up after our dogs the council would have to divert traffic.
LOL@ Ratter.
Biodegradable bags! Why do people think that these are a licence to leave bags of poo everywhere? This is worse than kicking the excrement into the side, the bags still take years to degrade and the poo inside is not degrading because it's in the bag!!!
Couldn't agree more. As a responsible dog owner myself, I always stop to offer a poop bag if I see someone not picking up their dog's poop.

Asking 'Isn't it embarrassing when you run out?' as I hand over the bag usually puts them off making a scene :o)
i totally agree with you, but what i find baffling is when you find doggie doo doo bags full and tied up but then thrown on the floor!!! if they have taken the time and effort to bag it why then throw it on the floor instead of putting it in a bin??
