I'm thinking of taking some kind of insurance out on my gas boiler but don't know how much this will cost.
Is it cheaper to go with the company you have your gas supply with and will there be a particular time of the year when it's cheaper to take out?
Thanks.

It's easy for you to get quotes on the net, however i am with EON and pay £16.50pcm,this covers Annual service all boiler repairs including full central heating system radiators etc,in the last 3 months I have had 2 replacement rad valves and a cracked heat pad fitted.I have not found any cheaper rates that cover the whole system. You can of course get boiler cover only if you wish which would be cheaper.

Thanks for that Dennis. The reason I was asking was because I got a leaflet from EON and they are offering cover for £12.37 (usually £16.50) which sounds like the one you have.
The only problem is, in the small print it says 2 direct debits will be set up.One for your energy and the other for your Central Heating Care.
I don't mind the one for the heating care but not for my energy bills as I prefer to pay the bills as they come in.
If you are with EON for Gas/Electric would not your bill be cheaper if you paid a fixed monthly direct debit, plus a big saving on your central heating insurance.
