to visit, and then starts working in discrete from home i.e beauty parlour, cash in hand, no tax. Is this illegal? and who do you report it to, because quite frankly its getting on my nerves now, theres this woman thats only been here for 11 years, and now she has called her sister over to visit for 6 months, and her sister is working from home as a beautician, no qualifications whatsoever, and making money, but not paying anything out of it i.e N.I Tax!!! and she is not allowed to work here.

Im not being a nosy so and so, im just annoyed, coz its people like these that have run us into the ground, and it has to stop, people need to stop covering for illegal immigrants.

NOX, you're. Either not a working class person (which aint a crime) or your not one who's had their wages decimated by immigrants ( legal. Or not) if u held on to your job. Gordon Brown had a similar attitude.

thelord- I was born just off the Falls Road in Belfast- how much more 'working class ' would you like me to get? I am self employed, have several companies etc, but I am also very welcoming of an open market and consider views that immigrants destroy the workplace economy to be entirely erroneous. You're very free to differ in opinion obviously, and you do, but equally I am entitled to mine, and immigrants are an easy scapegoat tbh.

Dear Nox my family's from Enniskillen. I'm self employed though only have 1 company. Iexpect we'd get on great over a few pints. I still think this mass immigration has been dreadful for working class people.

Nox, I don't have a problem with immigrants, mainly because I am one, but if they (or anyone else) don't pay their taxes then I have to pay it for them. Immigration's a separate issue from tax dodging.

We can all only act as we see thelord, but jno does have a point that tax dodging and immigration are two very seperate things- we've got plenty of home grown tax dodgers, and it's fair to say a lot of people will cash in hand given the chance.

thelord, I was referring more to the way the OP was phrased. If rozia has a problem with tax dodging, by all means take action. But don't get it tangled up with grumbles about immigration. As Nox says, there's no shortage of home-grown dodgers.

What about all these nail parlours too dont tell me they are all legals also they only deal in hard cash no cheques, credit cards,tc but I bet they dont pay income tax who keeps check on how much money they earn ?
