WE have a HD free sat /free-view Television ,we also have Sky but not Sky HD we would like to use the free-view / Free-sat ,How would we do this please.
Thank you
You freeview tv needs to be connected to an aerial either directly or via video recorder. To get free sat it has to be connected to a dish pointing at the appropriate satellite, I don't know whether freesat shares the same satellite as sky, If it doesn't at the very least you will need either a new dish or a motor to move your dish. If you are interested in a motor I can give you a link . I doubt that a sky box would allow access for freesat.
Poster - are you saying your TV has both Freeview and Freesat built in?
If you already have Sky not sure why you need Freeview or Freesat (unless you expect to get HD from them - this will only happen if the Freesat and Freeview boxes in the TV are HD enabled).
You CAN use a Sky dish with a Freesat box (Freesat and Sky both use the same satellite).
But if Sky are already using the dish not sure how you are going to use Freesat as it uses the same dish.
HOP KIRK Due to my well documented illness and my inability to take in large amounts of print ,I have found Answer-bank so helpful, as most of the contributors are able to condense the main points which in turn helps me gain more confidence on a daily basis, which either solves my problem or gives me ideas which I can follow.Hence the reason I do not read manuals.
