What do you mean, elaborate?

BTW no need to start a new post - you could just add a reminder from yourself in the original thread.
going back and posting on a year old thread won't be seen. why not re-post, keeping it concise?

a lot of people won't read through all that, and I'm not sure what you were even asking for.
The case has been closed so what are you wanting from us?
It is normal for cases such as your one to take over a year to be resolved.
What did you expect , that it would be over in a week or so?, as far as I can see standard procedures were followed, the CPS always go for the highest possible charge as it can then be dropped to a lower level once the trial starts.
They could not do it the other way and start with a low charge and then increase it after a trial had started. I know you say your charge was increased to GBH but that was pre trial.
I can not see that you have any cause for complaint, these things do take time, some a lot more than yours took.
I agree with you, the CPS are only after 1 thing and thats the win, they don't look at any other circumstances but thats up to your defence.

You are lucky your case as been dropped. I have a similar case only mine has been going on for nearly 3 years with CPS pulling out a day before the contested hearing everytime. I get the impression they are using cases like ours to keep themselves busy in the recession then pull out last minute, what do you think?
