Cheap bacon tends to contain more salt and water than more expensive varieties, dry cured bacon is best IMO....

I'm going to have a festive bacon sarnie now- you've made me hungry... cold dry cured bacon chopped up in Wensleydales grated cheese with a small amount of mayonaise and cranberry and orange jelly on a wholegrain baguette...lovely.

Well I may just have a few rounds of bacon sarnies, we picked up about a years supply yesterday from Asda, on special offer :)

Generally im just disappointed with bacon these days, smells fantastic but tasteless rubbish.

We had some of the Asda bacon yesterday and it was very nice indeed with an omelette!
