I am trying to work out if I would be better off having my lie in tomorrow (it's my turn) or Sunday, can't work put which would be the better deal for me.
Interesting to see what will happen on Sunday when all our streetlights go out at midnight instead of 1am - people will still be coming back from nights out at that time - trips on kerbs etc - compensation looms!!
Where the heck is this 'mwahaha' etc coming from btw? I'm defo not typing it, couldn't be bothered for a start not my style takes too long too. please therefore ignore all of those comments
The history of BST can be viewed here. < http://en.wikipedia.o...i/British_Summer_Time >.
There have been many vested interests over the years, from farming, industry and those doing school journeys, to name a few.
I'm pretty ambivalent about it now, so will be happy to go with the majority.
Just think about it!
There are very many people in the UK who are not old enough to remember the 1968 to 1971 experiment with GMT+1 in winter, and GMT+2 in summer. So now these people are asking for another trial. Whatever the advantages, at the end of the '68 to '71 trial, the majority of the British people declared themselves to be against a permanent change. Seems we don't learn from history after all.
