Hi All,

does anyone know what the picture quality would be like if i ran this screen with my pc? i.e. as a PC monitor?

This Isis 32" LCD TV offers clear and sharp HD Ready picture quality and also allows you to record your favourite programs directly to a USB memory device. This television boasts features such as built-in Freeview, Nicam stereo sound from the built-in speakers and a PC input. This is the ideal television if you want to update the technology in your home.

It's only a 720p TV, so you'd only be able to go upto a resolution of 1280×720, but it should be perfectly usable as a PC monitor.
There is no guarantee that the picture will be good enough for everyday use as a PC monitor. Even with a HDMI/DVI connection between the PC and the TV which you will definately need.

I have an older Phillips LCD and although it is 1080i/720p resolution, and I was using a DVI connection, the picture was fairly blurry, it was fine for watching movies on from the PC (which is all I used it for) but it was not crisp enough for actually using as the main monitor for browsing the internet etc. unloess you wanted to end up with a headache.

If you already have this TV it is probably worth paying for the DVI lead (make sure you have this output from your PC!) and giving it a go, but if not then don't just buy the TV for this purpose without seeing a demo of what the picture will look like.
You will often get better results using the standard VGA lead and input on the TV.
Okay, I assumed HDMI would be best, my TV only had this input (apart from S-Video which was even worse!) I suppose it depends on the inputs/outputs that are available... I have a nice new TV now though and the picture is crisp via HDMI :)
