I'm trying to get my webcam on my website. I'd like to picture to refresh every 30 seconds or so. I've tried a couple of free ad-supported programs, but neither are perfect.

Can anyone recommend a webcam program that's not going to cost me much (preferably nothing!)? I don't mind ads, as long as I can coose where to put them on my page.

you need something that'll capture a frame and upload it, overwriting a JPEG on your webspace. This means if you turn the camera off or can't update for some reason at least users will see an image, even if it is an old one. Look on www.freewarehome.com for some stuff to do this - there were a good handful of progs there years ago and I don't know if there still is.

Thanks Lisa, I've got three down, one I think is going to do what I want. It's a great site, too. :)
I use homewatcher, you'll find it from Google.
It does motion detection etc. but can also run scheduled snapshots, I think that you can schedule it down to the second.
Sorry, forgot to add that it supports dial up ftp, non dial up ftp (ie broadband) or I use it straight to a webserver.
