I wish to email my friend 60 photos of the kids on holiday. I can only send about 4 at a time. What is the best way to send 50-60? Can it be done? Any ideas. Thank you

Send them as an attachment. How many MB's are they?
Doubt you'd be able to send that many as an attachment.

why not ipload them to somewhere like photobucket and then send them a link to view the album

Im with Chuck on this one, http://photobucket.com/
It is the overall file size that is important. You can always try compressing multiple files into one and sending that.

50 or 60 is a heck of a lot though. The solution maybe as others suggest, to put them on an Internet picture hosting site. Does make them open to the public though. I'd not trust the password protection at any server site.
For big files I use yousendit - Although it looks like subscription there is a free option.
I personally use Picasa 3. It's a Google tool that is free and handles all the synching, etc for you.
If you're worried about security, you can always zip up the pics and put them on http://megaupload.com or a similar site then email the download code.
Why not put them on Facebook. Very easy to do.
"Dropbox" is good for anything like that :o)
We went sea fishing last weekend and had a great day, sent the skipper 20 photo's as attachments to an email and they went through OK
