I also posted this in technology - no answer yet - I hope someone can help. My start menu has moved by itself; I've probably pressed something accidently to cause it, but I can't get it back to where it was before. The word START used to be bottom right, and now it's top left and I hate it but I don't know how to move it back. HELP please.

Try clicking and dragging, but stay along the edges of your screen. It might take a few goes, but it should end up where you want it x
Just tried it myself - it's not as hard as I remembered and you just click the task bar and drag it to where you want it. Once it's there, right click on it and click 'lock the taskbar' and it'll stay where it is from now on.

Hi Karen, Thanks for your reply. I've been trying what you suggest but I just can't get on anything to click and drag. All I succeed in doing is opening the START menu. I've lost the bit which tells me what I've got open as well now!
right click and make sure lock the task bar isn't ticked before trying to move it.
