A chip shop has just opened in our area and we've had menus put through our doors. One of the items listed - in amongst pie suppers, pizza etc - is 'scrunchie'. You can have a whole scrunchie or half a scrunchie, with or without chips. What on earth is it? (The menu doesn't list a phone number, otherwise I'd phone the chip shop. I won't be down that way for a few days - and am just very curious.)

OMG I don't even like pizza, let alone deep fried battered pizza.
Sounds worse than the Scottish chippy's traditional favourite of deep-fried Scotch Pie!
