power steering fluid

hi my power steering fluid is leaking i topped it up last week and now its back under the min line ive noticed that there is a lot of fluid on a shelf bit just under the pipe.... am i ok to drive still im not sure as to when i can get it sorted with bank holl coming up.... is this going to be expensive?

Yes you are ok to drive it Honey, if the fluid tank becomes empty the steering will be very heavt to turn, it may be just a washer that has perished or a pipe joint come loose, or pipe has a hole in it, its noty a big job to do depending on your car! do not go to a dealer.

thanks.... i will nip it to local garage after after work... it does seem to be coming from a joint so hopefully hey can fix it and not cost too much.. its a micra that i have.
If you need a pipe replacement .. don't go to Nissan unless you are feeling flush.
Call Pirtek and find the local mobile man/van ... or go to one of their places with the pipe if possible. Much cheaper and quicker option to fix the problem.
I bet its a resevoir structure leak, or a hose failing.
Keeep it topped up in the interim. Al.
