All I want are two pairs of flat boots knee length or just under, one in black and one in brown... It's like searching for the holy fecking grail! The only pair that were any good were £90 and really a bit of a rip off for what they were but by this point I was prepared to be slightly ripped off but noooo... Size six just too small on right foot and size seven too big and do you think they do half sizes?! Do they bullocks...
I'm aware that if these are my biggest problems I have in life then I'm probably doing ok but that does mean I can't get grumpy about it! AndI've no one here to whinge at about my horrendous boot shopping experience to so someone has to hear my woes... ;0)
If you don't want to give Clarks a try, then I've had a pair of brow Dubarry Galways for about 3 years, never had a more comfey boot. Lots of shopts sell them, but they have a web site so you can see if they are what you are lookin for. These would solve the casual problem. And a problem halved is a problem............................
I got my jeans in Next, tried the boyfriend style which I wouldn't normally bother with but suprisingly comfy and nice looking....ALso they had high wasted ones which I noticed on the way out which I might have a look in to. Online obviously lol.
I did go in to clarks as well, I thought they'd definitely have something but it was just an untidy mess.
Just looking now craft, RObinia's recommendation has a branch in victoria which isn't too far. Camden's around the corner too so having a look at their website now.
At the cheaper end of the marker, try ShoeZone, I bought a flat pair of knee high boots in October for £25 and they are so comfy, I wear them all the time, which has amazed me as I do have lots of other pairs , but the shoezone ones are my fav at the moment.
I've never brought anything in shoezone, they always smell sort of rubbery when I go in which puts me off, I will get over my snobbiness and have a look!
