Do you have Christmas dinner?

Only asking because I noticed Boxy saying she'd be up to her elbows in sprouts at 8am.

I wouldn't even be starting the breakfast by then....let alone the dinner.

Dinner at about 5 I think :-)

yer I remember the stink when my dad used to cook them
1pm. Looking forward to it as only had slice of toast for breakfast. No cooking for me but will have to wash up!
I think we're aiming for about 1 o'clock here. My family will probably be having theirs about 3ish.
At 1ish for Christmas lunch with my Nan and 6ish for Christmas dinner.
Somewhere around 1:30 -2:00pm, I would think.

Piggies are 'blanketed', pork is scored for some nice crackling. The whole thing will only take a couple of hours from when I can be bothered to start it. I'm not one of these people that likes to take 2 days to cook a roast dinner. ;-)
still stuffed from last night, as the spanish have their xmas meal on xmas eve and usually late about 21.30. we had a yummy carrot and pumpkin soup 4 starters, sea bream with brussel sprouts and salad, some side dishes to pick at, inc big prawns, slices of spanish cheese, lots of bread, my home made savoury pumpkin pie. washed down with some lovely rioja and mahou beer.
big break, then 1 hour later had the desserts, mince pies and creamy fruit salad, plus spanish traditional thins, roscon de reyes.
My mum aims for 1 but it gets to the table about 3.

Tomorrow is "Christmas Day" here so they'll get their lunch when I get round to it!!!!!!
Sometime after 7.00 - we've assembled our 5 bird roast !!

There are only the leg & wing bones on the outside bird, and there's no cavity, so standard timings don't work.

We're using a meat thermometer, and it will be ready when it hits about 170 F, or thereabouts in the middle.
