Smelly mince

I bought some mince at the weekend. It should have been used by 7th. It's gone slightly brown. I've opened it and I wouldn't say "it mings", but there is a slight odour to it.

Not sure whether to rinse it in water and then vinegar and chilli it anyway or sling it. I HATE throwing food out though. But with the chaos theory that has invaded my house this week, it is unsurprising. What would you do?

Personally I wouldn't use it for Steak tartare, but I'd certainly cook with it.

i made the mistake of cooking and eating some like that once (only a day out of date and slight odour)

went down ok, but came up pretty fast too :(

lol Red. I hope it's OK cos I have a chilli bubbling away right now.

Mind you I am a total F***wit. Instead of ground coriander I shook ground cinnamon into it. My saving grace is that if it's Sugar, I can blame it on slightly off meat!!!!

Out of date mince that smells and has changed colour? Wouldn't chance it!
