sandy that is the point they don't live on £60/120 there are numerous other benefits.
Rent or morgage interest , community charge , child benefit, and child tax credit .
free dental and optical expences, free prescriptions . You add that lot on top of the
£60/120 it can well exceed people working . We all ( except you it appears ) know of people who are abusing the system . Of cause we should support those in genuine need
but why should hard working people support the workshy ?

Eddie # Once the children leave school the benefits come to a sudden stop. # No it doesn't if you agree to go on a training course . At 18 they then can claim in their own right . When any benefit is reduced it is substituted for another. If you come off unemployment benefit you can go on to job seekers allowance . If you get low paid work you get Income Support. . Eastern Europeans get all our benefits and they continue for 3 months after they return home. Asylum come here and can immediately claim benefits.

modeller if you are on incapacity benefit you pay for your prescriptions and to tell people that you can claim all these things is a lie.
