I think this appears to be the thread you need to look at.

Taking it at face value - a suspended sentence does seem to be an unduely leniant sentence.

snugglecuddle - can you get in touch with the cps and see if they think this was unduely leniant and if so whether they intend to appeal the sentence?
I remember that now...

Hard to say really. As harsh as it is people get off with worse.

How long has the sentence been suspended for?
Justice in Britain means, you get treated well, you get heating, Gyms to keep you fit, Money, Cigs, Papers, Mobiles, if your lucky a bit of Nookie, OH I forgot to say, Laptops, & of course the Wardens call you Sir, Justice in Britain! If you can not afford to pay your way, if you have money worries, To all of you that have fought for this country & are just surviving on your pension, just go out, throw a few bottles at cars, the police, or even Pizz pizzz in the street, You are better looked after in the nick< Justice, that's a Joke.

i spoke to cps friday straight after hearing because no restraining order was issued on him same time i said can the sentence be questioned and they said they wouldnt be appealing it cause they reckon best he will get cause he has no previous. suspened sentence was for 1year oh and not forgetting the 200hrs unpaid work to be done in 12months wot a joke that was. Just had a call the restraining order was issued this morning apparently xx
I read a smidgin, so forgive me if i've read it wrong, but why did you stay with him after he beat up your daughter?

Fair question sounds bad i know but it had been a pretty abusive/violent relationship for long time and not once hurt my children like that. His family convinced me he would get help they would deal with it and to keep things as they were otherwise social services would take my kids away, No excuse really but i was very low back then and i believed they would and i love my kids they are my world and didnt want to lose them. I know now tho that it wasnt true and social services are helping me not against me xx
Yeah they can take away your self worth and make you feel youre utterly dependant on them.Sadly as youve pointed out the CPS have to appeal as they are the prosecutors -not you.You have to live with the decision-I doubt if the appeal for a review of his sentence will be successful.
I understand how bitter you must feel but please dont let it engulf you -you have done well so far dont be his victim again.
Have a happy life and I wish you all the very best x
oops you didnt point out re CPS but my comment still stands.
