I've got a huge pile of ironing to do tomorrow, duvet covers down to knickers. I just can't stand for hours doing it any more I get chronic backache & shoulder ache. But I do like to see things nicely ironed.( my daughter bungs em in the dryer hangs em up & thats good enough) but not for me I'm as you might say from the old school.
I've now purchased an ironing press and what a pleasure it is too.
I haven't mastered a nice shirt yet but I'm getting there, don't have too many of those now so I pop the iron over them.

Have any of you got one? & how do you find it? Cuts the ironing time down by half.
(& yes I do press the knickers his & mine)

Pressing 'his & mine' is only kinky if you're wearing them at the time, so I'm told ;-)
Hiya jem.

I used to have one, and I liked it a lot. It was an Elnapress. When it packed up, my sis talked me into getting a steam generator. I'm just as happy with the steam generator - it's great! Nothing like the old steam irons.
jem, have to confess I find a quiet satisfaction in ironing stuff that needs it, such as shirts, but duvet covers and knickers? lifes too short!
