printer problem

my printer keeps making funy noise like it cleaning the heads (only way i can descibe it)even when turned off.probly about every 30 mins tried unplgging it when not in use ,but if i do that and plug it in again i have to run instalation again ,anybody got any suggestions any help appreciated it would'nt be a prob normally ,but it in the bedroom and scares the Sugar out of our lass durig the night. jf thxs

go onto a page as if you are going to type - hit control p as if to print - you will get properties - hit maintenance and click onto most of that on the page - it will clean and rectify things for you another thing do you not turn your computer off (at the plug) at night then it wont frighten you.
