Hi all, I check myself regularly and last night found a small lump about the size of a garden pea in my breast my daughter and husband could feel it too. I spent a resless night imagining all sorts (as you do) yet when I got up this morning it wasn't there, I've made a Dr's appt but dont know whether I should go now as I dont want to waste time that could be spent with someone who is ill. Any advice on what to do or what it might have been would be appreciated. many thanks in advance xx

you should go. I dont know what it may have been, but go and get checked out anyway
Don't panic. I too have been down this road and it ended up being nothing. My mother's also turned out to be nothing. I have a family history of breast cancer and although I am fairly young I panicked (as I am sure most people would). But there is not much point in getting yourself all worked up over something that is most probably nothing. It is good you found it and that you have booked your app.You should get it checked to be on the safe side.

Hope it goes well for you, keep us posted xx
yeah i say go anyway, just to make sure. if its dissappeared then thats a good thing i would hope but still go anyway. xx
Might have just been a small cyst of some kind, I got one once in another part of my body it went but another came that has never gone, had it all checked though and its fine. Just go and get checked out anyway, better to be safe than sorry. x
keep your appointment - it's probably nothing, but it'll put your mind at rest - any lumps anywhere should be investigated, and goodness knows, if it is something the quicker you get it sorted the better the recovery. All the best XX
You must go to put your mind at rest. I could be nothing
Same thing happened to me a few years back and I got it checked out and it was nothing to worry about. You need to have it seen by a professional, chances are they will just be putting your mind at rest!
I had this a few years ago.....keep the appointment. I saw my GP on the Tuesday, had a clinic appointment for 2pm on the Thursday, was out with the all clear by 4.30pm having had it aspirated (I think that's right) for a tissue sample, a mammogram done and a sonergram.......wonderful service.
I found one a few years back when I was in the bath. The doc gave me Flucloxacillin (?) and it burst the next day.

Keep your appointment, and good luck. x
I'm the same, had a few now and seem to be prone to them. All harmless fibrous adenomas though.

Always best to get it checked out though as said above, it could be some kind of cyst that needs treatment. I have been seen urgently on the breast clinic twice and they have been fantastic both times.

I think they call some of them mouse lumps or similar as they move.
I have had a few of these pea size lumps, never anything to worry about. They were over 20 years ago, and they were all operated on. I am sure nowadays they can be taken out much easier, probably keyhole, or even with a needle to relieve the fluid. Dont worry but see what doc says. Good luck and keep us informed x
Please, just go see the doc. Apart from putting your mind at ease, it is much easier for it be sorted out now rather than later. Chances are it's just a cyst but you will sleep better once you know for sure.
