worryingly, i found a lump in my breast on Friday night. Breast had been a bit achey, so had a feel around and found a little lump. Boobs were lumpy when i was breast feeding, but stopped that around 6 months ago. Will try to get a gp appt tomorrow, but just wondered what they will do - lump is quite small and you have to dig right in to feel it - will they feel it? Do hey just send you away and see if it's still there in a month? will i get sent to a breast clinic?

If there is a small bruise over the lump then it could be a small haematoma, but it's important to have it checked out in any case.
Are you still on Warfarin bednobs?
bednobs....from your description, I would have thought that you have little to worry about.

In answer to your question:

As others have said.....he will ask you about the lump....he will examine your breast, feel under your armpits, them make a decision as to whether referral to hospital is indicated.

I have the feeling that he will just reassure you.

any news?

Just caught up with this, I've had 2 referals in the past for mammagrams and ultrasounds as I found lumps, they found loads more on inspection, I'm plagued with them, dr told me not to be complacent though and to keep getting refered if need be, bloody scary!

Hope you get reassurance at the docs xx

hi, went to the gp. She felt the lump too (so i wasn't just feeling something thst wasn't there) As there is a small bruise where it is, she has recommended that i wait for 2 weeks (without poking it), then see if it's still there and go back if it is
bednobs.....I think that is a sensible result of the consultation based on your information on AB.
Okay, well that sounds fair. Just keep us posted? x
that sounds sensible. Good luck.
