Its not myself going to court its my ex partner he is up on ABH charges on my little girl its just out of the blue today his mum has asked me for his passport which i have got only he been gone since february this year and is due in court 21st july and it crossed my mind he wants the passport for other reasons which concern me and not for the court as his mum says he wants it for so am reluctant in handing it over i also still have his birthcertificate x
You need none.
agreed, you don't need ID.

what do you think he'll do if he had his passport?

he is entitled to have his documents.
So you think he might run away with you & partners child?
He can always apply for a new passport and birth certificate if they were to somehow get lost or misplaced. It would take time for the replacements to come through though... maybe even after the court case.

i have given it to his mum after reading all the comments xx i wasnt afraid he would run off with me and my daughter cause that would never happen i wont have the animal anywhere near me or my daughter again i was worried he would obscond before court in 2 weeks as posibility he could go down for wot he did to my daughter and i want him punished not for my sake but so my daughter understands that its not okay for a grown adult to punch or bite a child and she hopefully will not grow up thinking its ok for women to suffer abuse in relationships like unfortuantly i have for the last 8years i want better for my daughter xx
you did the right thing, on all counts. I wish you and your daughter a bright future :o)
