i would love the roll ball what is it like
We have the Miele Cat and Dog, that's good :)
The ball is the best bit ...
Detachable for games when you're bored. Another marketing con, in my opinion.
Seen the price of them?! Extra £100 for the ball.
is the ball good small flats
By design, Dysons .. and other "vortex" design cleaners have several corners within the dust chambers inside.
This is the reason they are easily blocked by fibre, pet hair, etc. A bit like the way hair gradually blocks up a plughole in the bath!
My dyson (cylinder type) will not pick up anything linty, threads etc off carpet. I complained to dyson and they sent me a new head for nothing but it was just the same.
Probably would bounce the cleaner out of the window like the terrier in that old TV ad : )
We`ve had a Dyson since it first came out and it`s still as good as new and used more than once a day around the house with our young grandchildren who come to see us regulary, always dropping bits of biscuit or cake. We clean both filters out when we empty it, and make sure the hose isn`t blocked. Perhaps that`s why your Dysons keep overheating.
Miele cat & dog - would suck up the floorboards if they weren't nailed down!
i don't understand why some people really hate the dyson. we're on our second now, got the first when they first came out and at that time we had a golden retriever. it was wonderful for getting rid of pet hairs, really great and totally transformed our carpets.
i gave the first dyson to no. 1 son when he got his first home 4 years ago and it's still going strong, bought myself a new one which is just as good. i wouldn't waste my money on a top of the range model, i have the basic upright one, never had any problems with it and really wouldn't buy any other make.
i liken dyson too
Miele Cat and Dog here.Brilliant.
I do some house cleaning with a friend and we have a Hetty (pink Henry) and the small Dyson Ball Upright. Neither are as good as the Miele. The Dyson's brushes stop when a little bit of hair wraps round them so you are constantly unblocking them. The button to turn off the brushes for hard floors is very unresponsive.Sometimes they switch off but most of the time they don't.
The Hetty has no suction.
Miele every time for me.

Thank you everyone - think I've made my mind up now and chosen a Miele Cat & Dog - just got to find where I can buy it cheap!
Miele 'Cat & Dog' without a shadow of doubt! I have 2 ( have small cleaning company) & are the best vac ever especially for pet hairs. Yes they are pricey but worth every penny. Had mine 4 yrs so far & vac an average of 3 houses a day & i'm talking large ones! The bags are also expensive but you can but cheaper copies on Ebay & also empty them occasionally.
have said this before - I threw my dyson onto a skip - it was heavy and hopeless. I now use and it is brilliant Bex Bissell vacuum cleaner. Brilliant - I have actually bought one for my sister for her birthday in Sept. Get one!!!! You may get one in Asda.
The Dyson s fitted with an exhaust air filter. If you clean this the overheating problem wll go away.
