The drivers aren't any better or worse in the north than those in the south.
This is probably southern drivers driving on our northern roads.
Derbyshire is more Midlands than northern and last time I looked at a map Sussex was down south.
Any data that says where the drivers who caused the accidents on these roads actually live?

Bad roads in Wales too

Don't see them mentioned
All the money spent on repairing southern roads means there isn't any left for us up north. Many people in London believe that beyond Watford is a land of ghosts.
It's the roads not the drivers or accidents that the assessment is based on. Road surface, number and severity of bends, badly marked junctions, lack of crash barriers etc. the list goes on.
Well the North has bad roads not bad drivers, in that case.
I think enough said about North/ South children, Its not the road at fault, it's the Fking idiots that drive on the thing, the road does not put it's foot down, the driver does, it's not the bends that that cause the problem, the driver is going to fast, as long as you have knob heads driving something that needs fuel to run their cars / Bikes it's them at fault NOT THE ROAD OR ROADS. An Experienced driver.
You don't get many roads like the A537 in the South of England!

Here it is on a fine day:

but here it is again (in the background) when it snows in the Peak District:

The report is based on road conditions not fatalities. That is why A roads make the list and motorways do not.
