Atheists-Has the interenet fuelled your beliefs?

I very rarely discuss religion with my family and try not to bring it up as it can take over a conversation very rapidly. However I find a lot of like minded people on the internet, in fact sometimes it seems that the majority of people on this site are atheists, but I think that this is more to do with people who respond to certain threads rather than it being the case.

Anyway, my question is do you think that the internet has played a big part in your atheist beliefs? Did you perhaps have a notion which was fuelled by all the ready information that is available to you now, moreso than when you were younger? Perhaps even it completely swayed your opinion from a religious viewpoint.

dare I say 'intellect'......I've said it :)
The biggest influence on my beliefs was the book "The God Delusion", reading that cemented my atheist beliefs.

The internet is great for me because I can argue my non-beliefs with people who have different beliefs in a way that I would never do in real life. For instance my next door neighbour is a gospel preacher and a really lovely bloke and although I do make light fun of his beliefs and have a joke with him about there being no god I would never let rip with the stuff I do on here sometimes because I wouldn't want to lose him as a friend.

I also agree that most posters in here are atheists, I would rather there be more religionists but only for my enjoyment and not because I would take any notice of what they post, me being selfish really but hey ho.
//It is one of the superstitions of the human mind to have imagined that virginity could be a virtue.//

I was already well aware of that fact Naomi, but three guesses what I got when I told her that . . . :o|
Errr ...... first guess ..... Sperlatt? Haaa!
No and no.
To your questions, that is.
I have a spiritual belief through my own experiences and maybe our conciousness does ascend to higher levels but it is all very blurry and grey area stuff?
