Help! I have a draught coming in my door along the side (not at the bottom). There must be an inexpensive DIY way to combat this and keep me warm!

There are strips you can buy of some kind of 'squeezable' plastic or rubber that you attach to the door frame and cut out the draft when the door's shut. Ask at your local DIY store.
Correct. go and ask your local DIY store for "draught excluder strips" - they come in a roll and have sticky backs and are really noddy to fit
