Please could you clarify:

  • Which country is "abroad"? - The rules will be set by the country you're entering, not the one you're leaving.
  • Which sort of baby milk? - Powdered, or expressed-off breast milk?

It will be easier for you to look up the country you are going to, and see their rules on imports.

powdered milk, Canary islands

And what did the search of the Canary Islands equivalent of Customs and Excise website say?

I can't see why you wouldn't be able to.  It's not like it's fresh produce.  Why don't you ask your travel operator?

Anyway, I don't think I'm being much help, and I'm not meaning to annoy you and you're clearly annoyed, so I'll leave it.

Enjoy your holiday.

i took powdered baby milk to ibiza with me in the suitcase and i had no problems
Just been to the States and whilst I don't remember it being mention on the way out there it was mentioned on the flight back that although meat and dairy products could not be brought back into this country baby milk was exempt. Perhaps you could try the web site of the embassey of the country you want to visit.
I would say definitely , especially if they are in the original containers !!
