I am trying to find a baby milk formula that my 6 month old son won't object to. He has been breast fed but I need a back up for my expressed milk. I've tried Milupa Aptamil, but he hates the stuff and won't drink it unless he's starving. Has anyone got any advice on brands of milk?

Try SMA or cow & gate follow on's for age 6mths up, nowadays you can buy small ready made cartons so if baby doesnt like one you are not going to waste a whole tin, and hopefully you can find a formula milk he likes.
have you started him on solids yet? He should only be taking 600mls of milk feed if he's having solids at 3 mealtimes a day so wouldn't need a top-up feed. UK guidelines
babys dont understand UK guidlines im afraid lol All babies are different some take solids early some later and some need more milk than others. i would go with what mrscheeks has said and good luck to you
The idea is that he should be on or at least starting solids by 6 months as iron levels start to drop and milk alone can't provide all iron he needs.
i had the same trouble when i had to give my daughter some formula when i went back to work after 6 months. have you tried feeding the bottle to him while he is snugged right up to your breast? works best when your breasts are quite full and nearing a feed, so he can smell your milk. he will try to reach your breasts at first, but if you keep trying and dont give in by feeding him yourself it can work. i found this worked well as once she was used to me giving her the bottle, others could aswell, but she still new the smell of 'real' milk and could have both bottles and breast. ( is he does take the bottle from you when you are near feeding time, remember to express after or it may decrease your milk flow)
