Ebay - overcharging on postage?

I know this is not a Chatterbank question but I didn't know where to stick it. [:o)

I have listed an item on Ebay with a postage charge of £5. I have just bagged it up and I realise it will go at small packet rate, and the postage is only £4.

I've wrapped it in bubble wrap and used a strong box. Is an extra pound postage acceptable, do you think? I suppose I could stick fifty pence in the box and explain I have miscalculated the postage costs.

To be honest,I have never bought anything off eBay,even though we have an account with them.
I usually go on the Amazon website to get my goodies.
I've bought quite a few items on Amazon, and they sometimes have good prices!!
