After reading this article - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1217504/Are-old-spoon-Woman-asked-ID-buying-teaspoons-Tesco.html - has any abers ever been asked to show identification to prove age ?

I bought a can of spray paint in B & Q a few weeks ago and tried out their new automated self serve till - it had to be verified I was over 21 so an assistant came over and actually asked for my ID - at first I felt quite flattered that the assistant thought I looked that young but then she put a leaflet in my bag advertising the 10% discount on Wednesdays for the over 60's ............................

Nanny - these youngsters have no sense of humour - do they.....

Craft - you should have looked at the cinema assistant (assuming they were a spotty teenager - they usually are) and said 'A'll I am going to say is Oxy 10 ' and walked off, head held high. Sorted - ha ha

Got asked for ID when I went to ask for a pensioners discount card at Focus. Quite flattered really 'cos she said she didn't usually ask people!!

Just waiting to be asked for ID when I buy booze. Some hopes!!!!!
Yes on Pleasure Island in Disneyworld, Florida when the turnstiles had broken down I was asked to prove that I was over 21, yet they let my 10yr old daughter pass by without anything!! I was rather pleased!!

On the other hand in Eastbourne I got on a tourist bus and asked for a ticket and got a pensioner's one, grrrr!!
I got asked for ID in Morrisons 2 years ago. I was chuffed :-)
Don't take it to heart netibiza,knowing Eastbourne they probably only had pensioner tickets.
it was once described as "the town of early nights and late husbands". :-)
Oi vulcan, how very dare you? I was born and (ill)bred in Eastbourne and yes it was known as the Geriatric Riviera which is why I hotfooted it out of there at an early age to live a debauched life elsewhere, byt hey, Eastbourne has caught up now so I visit occasionally when I remember where it is!!!
I went to the optician's last Tuesday & was told the eye tests were £19. It was only when I went back for the actual test & asked the lady if they did concessions for over 60's, that she informed me they were free. When I said I wasn't told that by the last receptionist, she said it was because I didn't look anywhere near 60, let alone two years past it! I was well chuffed! I was also asked for ID when I bought my special concession swimming season ticket last year! The kids thought it was real cool! ;o}

lol Neti. As you may remember, my sister Amy lived in Eastbourne & everyone seemed to go to bed at 9:00pm in the cul-de-sac where she lived, bless 'em! BTW, I have seen a photo of you & I bet you're still as attractive & young looking.....
netibiza, I dared because I too was born and raised in Eastbourne,well just outside.Left because the pace of life was too fast!
Ha ha vulcan, Ithought I recognised yhou!! Err, can you repay the 2/6d you borrowed from on the school bus??

Yes smudge, it's not the time of going to bed, it's what you do when you're there! x
damn netibiza,didn't think your memory was that good.Do you really want the money? I would need time to pay.
